Afrikaans for “The Answer,” Die Antwoord is a South African alternative hip hop group that was founded in Cape Town in 2008.

Rappers Watkin Tudor “Ninja” Jones and Anri “Yolandi Visser” du Toit, a male/female duo, along with producers HITEK5000 and Lil2Hood make up the group. Their aesthetic draws inspiration from the zef movement in South Africa and incorporates pieces by other movement members, like photographer Roger Ballen.
