Drake, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, is a Canadian rap rapper who initially rose to recognition as an actor on the acclaimed TV adolescent drama series Degrassi

The Next Generation before embarking on a lucrative and significant music career. Drake was born on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

With the release of the mixtape So Far Gone and accompanying number-one single “Best I Ever Had,” Drake had a breakthrough in 2009. Drake eventually signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, a division of Cash Money, after a bidding war broke out between labels.
