Joshua Taylor Bassett, an American actor, singer, and songwriter, was born on December 22, 2000.

He is well-known for playing Ricky Bowen, the series’ lead character, in High School Musical: The Musical.

Taylor and Laura Bassett were Bassett’s parents when she was born and reared in Oceanside, California. He was homeschooled and has five sisters.
