Post Malone Biography

Post Malone is the stage name of Austin Richard Post, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Born July 4, 1995 in Syracuse, New York, USA. the child of Rich Post and Nicole Frazier Lake, both of Walton, New York. Hip-hop, country, and rock were among the musical genres that Post’s father, a former disc jockey, introduced him to. He has Scottish, English, and Polish ancestry.

After his father was hired as the Dallas Cowboys’ concessions manager, Post and his stepmother Jodie relocated to Grapevine, Texas, when he was nine years old.

In 2010, Post picked up the guitar and went to a Crown the Empire audition, but was turned down when his guitar’s strings snapped. He attributed the well-known video game Guitar Hero with sparking his early interest in learning the guitar.
