LANY was Established by three friends in Nashville in 2014–Paul Jason Klein of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Leslie Priest and Jake Goss of Nashville — the members of LANY studied college music and are multi-instrumentalists. During a ride from Los Angeles Klein met up in Nashville with Priest and Goss, who were working on WRLDS, their own project. Together, they decided to start something new and LANY was born. The band’s name is a reference to Los Angeles and New York (pronounced “Lay-nee”)
